What is the dosage and how should it be used?
Phenazopyridine is administered as a tablet, in either 100mg or 200mg doses. The tablets have a light red or dark red or dark violet color, and are taken with food.
Take phenazopyridine exactly as directed by your doctor or as directed on the package. If you do not understand these instructions, ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist to explain them to you.
Take each dose with a full glass of water.
Phenazopyridine is usually taken three times a day after meals. Follow the directions given by your doctor or on the package.
Do not use phenazopyridine for longer than 2 days unless otherwise directed by a doctor.
